I play PF from a little seat I call my cockpit and watch the action on my projector. I'm going to be getting Track IR soon but I started thinking about the fact that most people mount the device to a monitor at head level. This is something I cant do with my current setup.

Does anyone esle use Track IR with a proj. setup? I trying to figure out possible solutions to this potential problem before I buy the device. I have some quick questions about it too.

Can the devices axis' be reversed? Enabling it to sit behind me rather than infront?

Does the device have to be a head/level to work at its best?

Thanks for the advice in advance!

I don't think it needs to be head/level, mine is on top of a 19"CRT, which is placed relatively high. So the tracking device is placed about 10cm higher than than the dot, which is placed on a pair of glasses...

It can also be placed lower, as long as it's got a good view to the dot(s).

(Oh, I'm using the TIR3Pro, w/o vector expansion...)

Well thats great news becaus I can mount this thing behind me then have no worries if anything the only other place I could place it is on the keyboard stand of my little cockpit setup. For visual aid heres a pic of it to get an idea of how low it would be in that config.

(Forgot to post this one earlier)

    Nice seat!
(You could also place it just above the keyboard me thinks...)

LOL yeah shes a spook but a ferocious spook!

Cant wait till I get the track IR and Il-2 complete. Then I can better hone my skills and have another part of the series to play with (I only have PF standalone now). Then its just rudder pedals! The circle is almost complete!
