I go to join the global event and when I click OK it comes back with an error stating:
"Sorry, you cannot join this event because you don't meet the requirements (country or gender)."
I changed my gender from male to femal and got the same error. And I can't change my country from the US. So any reason I am not able to join the global event?

Have you contacted Ubisoft Support? I'll pass this along and see what I can find out.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. Apparently as a male in the US I do not meet the worldwide requirements? lol. I finally got to link my accounts and I can't join the global event

i´m from germany and experience the same issue...no joining possible. where is the problem? link was successful!!

I am having the same issue. I bought the game at release, it took almost a year to get the first event, and I didn't even know about it, checked achievement website and it stated July was up, well too late. Now September states gender/location requirement issue. I changed my gender from male to female. Still no go. I am in the US. So, what gives. Some honest feedback-I don't know I will purchase/recommend the next game with huge issues such as this.

I'm having this same issue also. I was able to join the August event but not September.
