I have read bits about this in a couple of posts but still do not quite understand how it works...:
I am doing the "Sculpting" personal training. How do I find out when this program is finished (I mean not for the day, but rather how many sessions remain). Does it have a fixed number of days/sessions? Or does it go on until I switch to another programm? In the personal training menu I have two of three blue bars filled - will it be done when all of them are full? How long is it gonna take? Or is that just my fitness level increasing?
I would love to try something else (like Men's Health courses) but am afraid of loosing my progress. Some more/clearer feedback from the user interface would be nice... Anyone knows the answer? Thanks!

I too would like to know more about how the personal training works! I have been doing the cardio program for the past 10 days and it just repeats the same sets of exersises. I wanted to complete that program before trying a different one but got bored. I decided to redo the fitness test as I am definately feeling much fitter than when I started. The first time I was "beginner", this time I was "trained." When I went to explore the programs and choose one I noticed that I could now access some cardio that had not been available before. So it seems to me that the programs advance with your fitness level?
I definately think there needs to be some clearer instructions on how this game works!!

Hi. Yes, this in my mind is the most lacking area of the game. You are around 2/3 done by the way. kwilds, make sure you press "finish" and let it save or you will keep repeating the same session! I finished sculpting and think it's probably around 9-12 sessions?
Here is where the developers need to improve things (and I can not believe this was not done in testing - seriously, who is testing this stuff before it is released to the world??)
1) My biggest problem. Correct game so we can switch back and forth between personal training sessions. I am doing MH arm buster sessions now. I would like to maybe do a arm session then do a couple of sculpting sessions then maybe do another arm session. Right now I have to do an arm session and repeat the same boxing stuff 4 or 5 times just to keep my heart rate up. Losing progress/repeating a personal training session is annoying.
2)Put in a regular weigh-in feature
3)Provide some way to put in "other activity calories". I did not use YSFE yesterday but ran 7 miles around my gym track. I would like to keep record of that too. My wife is doing the Biggest Loser game and she is able to do this - she can input her daily calorie intake too. I realize this is not marketed as a weight loss game but I'm sure most people are using it for that purpose.
As I have mentioned in other posts I love this game but developers, next time you do testing, email me.
Cheers all!

Funny, yesterday after posting this I did another YSFE session with Sculpting, and - guess what - the software told me the program was finished and I had unlocked additional content
I am not sure, though, why. I was training 8 or 9 sessions on 7 days.
Anyway I could now start a different program (MH Fat Burn - boy, I wish I hadn't done that.. ;-) ). But for that YSFE clearly states it's got 12 sessions of which I hav finished one - that kind of feedback is needed for all programs.

I think that the non-named programs (cardio, toning, sculpting) have a nonspecific number of sessions. It seems to me that if you just follow them along (and don't try to force getting to a different session level) that new routines are introduced as you gain proficiency in the ones you are doing. So some people will complete those programs sooner and with fewer repetitions than others. This is based solely on my own observations plus various comments I have read here, the Xbox forum and the YSFE facebook page then pieced together in my mind

This game is broken. People are giving high scores because they think the technology is cool. But as a workout routine, you are much better off using a workout DVD where you can advance your intensity level on your own accord. This game makes me do the same routine over and over and over. I can not unlock sculpting 1.2 even though Ive been doing scultping 1.1 over and over and over. No moderators or UBI representatives give definitive answers. I've called tech support and they know nothing. The only people who like this game are those who havent worked out in 5 years and think this is cool. Waste of 60 dollars and hopefully suckers wont buy the downloadable content until this game is patched...I am furious about this and want a refund

If you are a fan of workout DVDs that probably says enough - why don't you try Richard Simmons. I love this game. You probably are not doing sculpting right or you are not saving your progress.

No buddy, I was in the military for 6 years and I know how to do exercises correctly. Exercise videos such as taebo and p90x burn many more calories than this game. Your shape has so much potential but unfortunately it feels like it was targeted towards middle aged women with no exercise experience. For example, why does the game feel I am not competent enough to choose my own specific exercises or advance when I feel I am ready? Why does it hold my hand and assume I dont know anything about exercise? Why does it not let me progress on my own choosing? The game should let me choose when I am ready to advance. As a consumer who wasted 60 dollars on this game I have every right to discuss these issues until they are fixed because I cant get a proper refund for the game.

Gotta agree with PennJersey. I bought the game based on the potential. It's only made me frustrated to this point. I can run a 5k and I bench more than my weight. I know you need to vary workouts for them to remain effective. The fact I can't jump from arm blaster to cardio is a problem.
