There are plenty more out there that I love from shows like Star Trek, and Buck Rogers, Star Wars, etc, etc, but then I'd be here all night!

Remember this game, way back when ...

Wing Commander and Privateer had some awesome ship designs.

More recently I like the Reavers from Firefly.

However, I must confess that as an engineer, I cannot help but see form in terms of function.
Sorry, I am just not seeing it. You seem to lean hard toward the European designs. And save for a few exceptions on the whole the British (modern aircraft) in particular don't do anything for me. Though don't get me wrong there are some awesome Euro designs.

Chew on this for a while.

Sorry but the f/a -18, f-4 and that ferrari as good looking? Really? really?

Not so much the f18 admittedly I just through that in there to show even one of the ugliest American fighters is still better looking then most of the British planes from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and early 90s in my opinion anyways. Not that I dislike the Brits or anything. And I'm not waving the American flag either But the f4 and the Ferrari definitely especially considering the conversations was pertaining to form following function.

A perfect example from an engineering standpoint is the Bking you either love it or hate it.

To each their own own i guess. Bikes in general just have a resounding 'meh' on me personally.

To me they are all pretty much just machines. A pretty machine is what it is no matter what it does.
