    Salute

I like the Spad. The prototypical WWI hotrod:

Six pages and not one mention of the Hawker Hunter, the General Dynamics (screw Boeing) F-16, the Grumman (ditto Northrop AND their lawyers) F-14A Tomcat or the Vought F8U Crusader.

I am shocked and dismayed at these lapses.

Of course, my personal favorites in the props & aesthetics department are the FW 190D (big tail) and the F8F-2 Bearcat...

    cheers

I agree. For some reason bubble canopies on aircraft that didn't initially have them don't sit well with me (aesthetically ).
As for P-47s with Malcolm hoods, apparently it was a very occasional modification to the remaining razorbacks in service toward the end of the war. PM BillSwagger or visit AAA if you're interested in the mod sense.

    Reggiane Re.2005 "Sagittario"

BTW, I've found the third photo in an Italian forum, not aviation related, and I've even suspected is a fake (colors, never seen before, etc.).
Someone has more info about that photo (year/month, location, ...)?
