It's actually 8 turbojets (good for 5 minutes as they'll run out of oil afterwards) and two turbofans.10 turbojets is a sure way to keep the neighbors happy lol.
The RB 162s are quite interesting, though.
Compressor-blades built out of glass-fiber (or was it carbon? Gotta have to re-check that one; we're having both, the RB 162 and the Pegasus standing at uni).
BTW: Those Turbo-Dimonas are insane - they'd go up and check for volcanic ash in Switzerland with a Turbo-Dimona (FL 250-capable).
Yeah they really like to flyBTW: Those Turbo-Dimonas are insane - they'd go up and check for volcanic ash in Switzerland with a Turbo-Dimona (FL 250-capable).On takeoff the time from brake release until liftoff is ridiculously short - and they fly at a flat deck angle which takes some getting used to. As I have posted before the weirdest thing about the whole HK36 family is the massive adverse yaw (especially in the climb) - worse than any other glider I've flown. Move the stick left and the nose goes 15-20 degrees right and vice-versa.
