Depends - minimum touchdown-speed at about 150KIAS, might be as high as 190KIAS depending on gross-weight.Landing it must have been real interesting...
Takeoff was more interesting..
Take-off-speed at max gross was 230KIAS with a max tyre-speed of 240KIAS and a max gear-door speed of 260KIAS.
"Clean" takeoff was at about 190KIAS.
L/D is about 0.4 better than an F-4's and max sustained g is 7, which is on par with the unslatted F-4 and tops for it's time.
So, after all, those "tiny" wings did their job pretty well.
+1 on the Starfighter Treetop !But I like the Gloster Meteor amongst those Ive seen in the metal. And the EE Lightning is a fave of mine but more for the brute power than its beauty ...Underside of a Spit DOES look very organically beautiful ...That french fighter does look pretty but in a same-ish way like say a Ki100 bubble top or MC202 etc etc ....
Wouldnt like the Bf108 at all...nor WW1 planes mostly...not even that mad about that twin engined british "Hornet"?And yeah the Dora in pic DOES look well
Starfighter wins by a long length IMO though ...
EDIT Just seen that H1 racer Treetop posted ....VERY NICE!
