Well, what works for me might work for some of U.

For joysticks with twist-rudder There are some problems with use of rudder. The problem, wich originates from the short travel of the twist leads to, when moving rudder a few millimeters ,too large input, and when then releasing stick it returns to center and the swaying, side to side ,begins.
I earlier used hurricane as example on a plane wich has dampened swaying, wich lead to it settling down quickly when releasing the twist-stick after rudder input, but heavier planes like p47 goes on swaying longer and its hard to counter with milimeters of input.

The best soulution for me was to set the rudder range of travel down in game settings so it had only 60% of effect as maximum.
This means that I have only 60% of rudder compared to other players but my twist stick settled down a bit. I also set filtering on full.
If one is prepared to sacrifice some of the rudder input-range one gain a smoother movement.

Conclusion: The range of travel on twist-sticks in general is too narrow (short) and thus disables precise movements because a few millimeters gives big input.

I will try that out, I used something similar for all (pitch, roll, yaw), but when used on pitch and roll it is too insensitive (max values 60-80). It worked fine with rudder tho as you mentioned.

I need some more testing .

You don´t have any difficulties turning your plane sideways on the ground and you can control your plane when taking off?

Some pedals may be better indeed, but it's not an option that suit everybody, and again some can't afford them.
I'm trying make the most of what I have and pass it on.

I set mine in game to:
(These are approx w/ EVO stick)

    Pitch
    no dead 2 4 6 8 16 24 32 46 64 72 no filter
    Roll
    default I think?
    Yaw
    no dead 2 4 6 8 16 24 32 46 64 72 no filter
I'm still testing and I use this mainly for the P-39
