I love cooking, and i have a library of recipe books, i am trying to build a collection of recipes from around the world, i often visit my local bookshop looking for some real treasures. Every week i try and create a traditional dish from another country. For instance, i recently cooked Feijoada, a meat and black bean stew and a tradional dish of Brazil(delicious). I am finding it frustrating trying to find the traditional national recipes of other countries.....spaghetti bolognese is a classic, but here in the UK every recipe book says beef mince, i understand that the traditional bolognese is made with pork?
Anyway, this got me thinking, on this forum we have a great collection of people from around the world........
So, your cruising across the atlantic with grammy playing, you have just dropped in on the milk cow.....your favourite Chef's onboard.....what feast are you gonna dish up for you and your crew? Gotta keep moral up
I would bring my late Grandma on board to cook her finest Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding.......with those lovely crispy roast potatoes(classic UK recipe)
I would be especially grateful for some traditional recipes that i can add to my collection![]()

Take a look at "The 'Unofficial' Official SHIII UBoat Kaptain's Cookbook" - probably not the kind of national/traditional food you're hoping for, but it might give you some inspiration!
