It would be nice if there was a way to account for weights held during the routines. I got two 3lb hand weights for Xmas and it sure increased the intensity of the workout. Unfortunately, any extra calories burned aren't accounted for.

In regards to the calorie counter, here is some info from the devs:

For Your Shape Fitness Evolved, we really wanted to focus on a handsfree experience. Also, we had a fitness coach staffed on our team full time that helped the game designers with the calorie count. What we did was measure how many calories each move was worth. Combined with the weight and age of the person (input at the beginning of the game), we can then determine with more precision the calories they will burn during their workout.

The game even recommends the use of weights for some of the exercises. That's why I thought it would be a good idea to include any calories burned while using weights.

Not only are weights recommended often in the game but many of the trainers are pictured using weights. For example the trainer in the "Toned Arms and Shoulder" sessions uses weights throughout all the routines.

I understand how the calories are calculated but it still seems that there should be a way to add in small hand weights.

I'd also like some way for the game to either recognize that you are using weights or giving you the option to say you are using them and having that add additional points to calorie count.

Hi, from what I am seeing there is no way to set specific weights that you are using or to track calories burned from those weights. Is that correct? I am actually less concerned about calories and more concerned about being about integrating the weights I have with this game in an intelligent way, so that I may track what weights I'm using and for how many reps, and hopefully the game would recommend how to proceed in terms of increases of weight and repetitions. Is this possible, either for the current version or the version that will be released in November?
