Its also very sad that the elegant machines which inspire such poetry and joy are designed with the sole intent of killing. If there is "anybody out there" they would be too scared to show their faces round here.

Nice pics. Bummer to see all that work, effort and ingenuity left out to rot like so much garbage. Shame about Spamburgler's Fan being a total knob too, but that can't be helped either.

Yep - seeing a load of warplanes being scrapped because they're no longer needed actually makes me feel pretty good.
It would be nice if one day the only place to see one was in a museum, at an air display or in a history book.

Wow, imagine the wealth that went into designing, building, and flying all those machines. Machines with but one purpose, to kill people. Too bad humans can't harness that scale of ingenuity for doing productive things.
