I'm getting frusterated. For the most part I like the game except for one thing. It says Dont do the same workout twice but that's all I ever do. When I start the Cardio program, its the same thing each time. Even though the xbox says there are more levels but they are locked.

Thought it was the program so I downloaded the post toning pregnancy one. Was excited when I did one session and saw there were 11 more. Figured each day I would do one a day. I turned it on the next day, and it starts with the same thing I did before! You would think it would focus on another body part considering my legs still felt like jelly. Was I suppose to do all sessions in one day? How come it won't save where I ended? Are you supposed to get a specific score before you can unlock another session?

The specific personal trainer exercise sessions will be same each time you do it. You'll do the same exercises in the same order 11 times. At the end of the 11th session, it will congratulate you for doing all 11 sessions. That's it.
Needless to say, I thought it was a bit disappointing just to get a "Congratulations" after completing 11 sessions.
So, now I hardly ever do the same personal trainer; I'm constantly alternating between my favorite sessions.

Oh that's silly. Why would anyone want to do the same routine 11 days in a row?

Ok so what about the regular cardio towing exercises. Are those the same exercises over and over?

The regular Cario/Toning/Sculpting programs shouldn't be the same each day. However, unless you score 80% or more it will make you do the same session again the next time you come back.

However, it gets a bit complicated... You will be working at a particular level: Beginner (level 1), Trained (level 2), Advanced (level 3), and each of those levels are split into three sub-levels: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, ... , 3.3. And each of those sub-levels is made up of 6, 9, or 12 sessions.

For example, let's say you are currently on Cardio level 2.2, which happens to have 9 sessions. In order to advance from, say 2.2 to 2.3 you need to score 80%+ in at least 2/3 of the sessions in that sub-section; that is, you need to score 80%+ on at least 6 sessions in 2.2.

What will happen each day you start-up Cardio it will take you to the first session in your current sub-section (e.g. 2.2) which you have not scored 80%+. After that session if you select "Play Again" it will take you to the next session you've not scored 80%+.

So depending how many sessions you do each time you play Your Shape, and how well you've done in each session, will affect whether or not you see the same session again. If you only do one session each time you play and you don't get 80%+ then you will do that same session over and over again.

I personally found the Pendulum exercise impossible to do so I sat those out, which often meant I couldn't get 80%+. However, I used to do two or three sessions every day and if I found that my first session on a particular day was one of those sessions I couldn't get past then I would sit the whole session out and then do the next 2-3 sessions properly. This meant in some cases that for a couple of days I would see that same session first of all when I started, but the other sessions would be new. Once I'd completed 2/3 of the sessions in the sub-section it moves you on to the next sub-section and you never see that "uncompleted" session again.

If you only have time to do one session each time you play then I would suggest you sit it out by flapping your arms or whatever it takes to make the Kinect think you're still there and once it has finished select Play Again and you will go to a new session. Of course, there is the possibility that there will be more than one session you cannot score 80%+ in, which means that you might have to sit out a couple of sessions until you get to one you can do.

However, The reason I didn't do Pendulum is because of a long term injury and I found it a dangerously high impact exercise. Generally though, if the reason you're not getting 80%+ is due to not mastering the exercise then I would suggest you persevere. Otherwise you're going to really struggle with the later sessions.

Sorry for the long post, but I hope it helps.

Wow! I wish I could give you a hug. Lol. That was the best explanation I've heard and now the game makes total sense. You should have written their instruction manual for them and they failed to explain any of that. Thanks! Now I know where I need improvement.

Doing 11 sessions of anything would become boring. Agree that euler_13 should have done their manual.
