Yes youre right. The game fell short of its potential and our expectations, but more important, Ubisoft fell short of being a consumer based company.Originally posted by Jose.MaC:
You're right, Rick! I even bought the expansion pack, to be able to play the monsun uboots! I like the way the crew is managed in SH IV, is a good evolution from SH III -wich i hated because the micromanagement.
A pity that SH V never lived our expectations...
Any normal business that is customer and consumer based such as Ubisoft or any other software company would put their customers first. Not Ubisoft. They could care less about their consumers/customers.
I dont wish bad on anyone, but after the treatment that myself and others have gotten from Ubisoft, I wish I could spread the word more to what kind of a company Ubisoft really is, and I hope they suffer because of it. Ubisoft should not even be in business if they treat their customers this way we are treated. I really hope the CEO of Ubisoft can sleep good at nights knowing he's screwed hundreds if not thousands of people. To me, that is not a business man at all. I cant say what I call people like that or I would surely get banned from these forums.
I can also tell you that if Ubisoft was based in Canada, I am pretty sure they would have a class action law suit against them for fraud. Sadly they are protected from such things in Romania or wherever they are based from.
The development team of SH V was based in Romania, but the central house of Ubisoft is based in France. So methinks that to sue them would be feasible, but impractical: didn't do the same other companies like Atari? To send to the market incomplete games? They would have such a big precedent that maybe a judge could see it as a common practice in the game marketAnyway, as long as you don't try, you don't know. Any french gamer arround there? Would be worth to sue them through a user protection' agency or something like that!
