but i would prefer AA and AS filters

yeah - I realized later that I had turned those down a bit when I was playing with some higher resolutions, and forgot to turn them back up when I dropped back down to 1024x768 to run the water test - I'll run some more tests later and see what happens when I crank those back up and turn off 3D gunners (was playing with those too)

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+
1 GB RAM
dual booting Win98SE and XP Pro
I went ahead and tried higher AF/FSAA settings and higher res too - basically, even though I was able to go higher up on all those settings than I thought I would before the FPS dropped through the floor, and even though the water did look really good set at "3" once I got down to about 100 feet or lower, for some reason with water=3 I never could get the jaggies to go away very well and the water never really looked all that good from higher altitudes - it was almost like setting water=3 was keeping the AF/FSAA from working or something - very odd looking, especially the carriers with their cables - really looked bad (from a jaggies standpoint) trying to land on them
I wound up going back to water=0 (I have always liked the looks of that water waaaay better than either "1" or "2", and that didn't change with the 6800GT), and things look great and run plenty fast, anywhere from 1024x768 with AF/FSAA way up, to 1600x1200 with AF/FSAA down around 2x each or so.
It's too bad you can't change the water settings from in-game - I'd love to be able to have it on "0" until just before I ditch, then be able to switch it to "3" for the last 100 foot drop or so, for the ultimate in "immersion"

I can get them (X800XL) but I have too much money tied up in video cards right now to stock more brands/models I've got a bunch of Gigabyte X800XT PE and 6800 Ultra's and GT's I gotta unload first lol

Guys we talk alot about X800Pro and XT, but no one mentions X800XL. It is cheaper than Pro but faster. Problem is it's nowhere to be found. I bet if overclocked, it can match X800XT.
It cought my attention, but I can't find it here in Sweden, none of the hardware shops have it - some have never even heard of it!

Well, I can wait with that card! My main upgrade priority is ram. What would you recommend for a MSI K8N Neo2-54G Platinum mobo?

I take it you stock these. How much for a gig? Do I have to pay import taxes if you ship them to Sweden?
