For those that remember this campy cartoon series when it first came out and those younguns that know it from it's syndication and run on MTV.
Looks fun to me.

I still sing that song....
I used to rush hime to watch that, Gigantor(which was originally a Japanese cartoon Testsujin - 28 which I discovered at Blovkbuster.. needless to say I was floored. Back then the main character's name was not Jimmy Sparks.) ... and
Tobor (robot spelled backwards).. the 8th Man!!
(Along with Captain Jack, Diver Dan, Officer Joe Bolton-and the 3 Stooges.. ahhh those were the days... Back when kids could be... kids... When I look at the world we live in and I say my prayers along with giving thanks for still having both my parents, my health, my dashing good looks...(Ok... thats subjective I'll grant you that...), I am so gratefull that I had a childhood because so many kids today just don't get one... the real world is thrust upon them quick fast and in a hurry.... and it is sad really.
That was Kimba the White Lion... and wow .. Bobo Brazil.. my Grandmother and I used to watch studio wrestling... Bruno Samartino, The Albano brothers.. Chief Jay Strongbow...Originally posted by Chris0382:

Ah yes, good memories indeed. Gigantor and Marine Boy were two of my favorites after Speed Racer. I also used to love The Wacky Races.

I even remember running home after school to watch one of my favorite non-cartoon shows, Dark Shadows...albeit with my hands over my eyes, as I peeked out now and then, scared to death! LOL!

"Lost in Space" was always an afternoon favorite and I also remember watching the original "Star Trek", "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" and "Land of the Giants" with my dad. He loved those Sci-Fi shows.

The movie Mach V looks awesome!! I hope it follows some of the cartoon, but leaves out the over-emoting grunts and sweating that Trans-Lux saw fit to have in the cartoon.![]()
More Retro Action.
