I'm planning to upgrade the RAM soon .. I think 4GB should be enough .. no?
Windows XP can't see, or use, more than 2.5 gig of RAM.
Neither can Vista 32 bit.
As far as I know, only Vista 64 bit can see 4 gig of RAM.

I was wrong when I said Quad Core 5600+ ... I meant Double Core 5600+ ..I blamed my sleepiness while typing at 2am ..
So I guess 2Gig ram should also be enough then ... yes? If not then I'll have to buy Windows 7 ... oh well ..

Not strictly correct, XP and Vista 32-bit can see more than 2.5Gb of ram, in fact, 32-bit Windows can see around 3.5Gb, XP can see my 3Gb just fine, what it can't do, is allocate more than 2Gb to any single application, although, there is the "3Gb switch" fix from Microsoft, which will allocate more ram to an application that supports more than 2Gb.
I have the INTEL E8400 plus 4Gb RAM ( can see only 3.3Gb )and a very old 8800GT 512Mb , I was thinking to upgrade to a ATI 4890 1Gb , but I am waiting for September or October to check the new Video cards with 40nm and DirectX11 , I hope SH5 take the advantages of DirectX11 , but I saw the trailer and this looks very similar to SH4 , may be UBISOFT have sort out the problem of SH3 with the new stretched and lower Monitors screen

This explains why I can't use WAC 4.0. I have XP. There is a patch someone made for Vista 32 to run the 4GB mod, somehow it alters the Sh3.exe. But it doesn't seem to work on XP.Originally posted by tuddley3:
