    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to look into getting a AMD quad core at 3.2ghz. But do you think the ATI Radeon 4760 1gib will be enough? I don't want to go too over budget on a new machine. I heard there are graphic cards out there worth 600-800 bucks, and that's just too much for me.

From what I've seen in the minimal specs for SH5 it says that a ATI 4800 is on the low end. You could probably run the game with your card but only at the lowest settings. I don't know your price range, but would something like the link below work for you?

Thank you for the link. I think that card would be in my price range, as the card that was included in my original quote was priced at around $160 I believe. But I must admit, I'm a little confused. On the SH5 website, it lists ATI HD 3000 series or better under the recommended settings. But then again, I've also seen other websites list much higher recommended requirements. So who do you believe? I figured the actualy SH5 website would be the best guide, wouldn't it?

You are correct, I seem to be in error. The specs I was going by seem to be on the high side. I apologise for my mistake.

That being said, it never hurts to go with the best card you can get, and this video card that I linked to is supposed to give you the best bang for your buck right now.

Thank you for all your help Tambor. I've been out of touch with computer technology for so long I'm not on top of all the new chips and cards.

So I think I'm going to get a machine with:
    AMD Quad Core 3.2ghz
    2gig RAM
    ATI Radeon HD 5770 1gig

Should that be enough to run SH5 on relatively high settings?

Yes, I would certainly think so.

If I meet all the reccomended System Requirements and some even exceed and my Video card is a Nividia 8600, do you think I run it at all?

How much video memory do you have on that 8600 of yours, shaumuuboy?
