But I guess since the storyline in Vegas is over 12hours only they would need some new weapons, but why not make a van with new guns & ammo be waiting for them at the end of the map?
I already don't like that GR:AW is using a similar concept, but at least that's a war zone. Who cares about the gun thing right now. If the PC version is similar to this 12 hour (12 missions, 1 long mission?) thing there are gonna be way bigger problems.
If that's what they want to do for the 360, fine. But I don't see how most of the ideas that people have been discussing here for the past few weeks are going to fit in this type of format. It's not a bad idea from a story driven game format, or trying to emulate a Black Hawk Down situation, ie a day in the life of a mission gone heywire, but from what PC people want out of this series...that aint it. Maybe a game like Brothers in Arms it works, but again, that's war. A CT 12 hour situation sounds like one mission. How are you going to spice that up? Throw in 100 - 200 bad guys. See where this is going?
I'm starting to hope the PC version has nothing to do with Vegas.
I voted no.
If we can pick up enemy weapons,
We should also have the option of stripping the dead terrorists naked, and pick up their terrorist clothes and underwear.
We should also have the option of going through their pockets, and pick up their wallets.
Or, how about Call of Duty style, as you walk over the dead bodies you will see:
"180 rounds of 9mm AMMO picked up"
"50 rounds of 5.56mm AMMO picked up"
"Health pack picked up"
to quote Goliath from the console forum:
I agree if it was done like COD for example where the ridiculous number of enemies mean you will need to pickup ammo/weapons to complete the level it would be a terrible idea. It's not, it's an auxillary option there if you want to use it. No need to go off into the absurd.Originally posted by Goliath.Ubi.Dev:
You will still have enough ammo with your chosen weapon the only reason why this is even there is because realisticly weapons don't magicly dissapear when you shoot someone. If you want to pick up a busted up half empty terrorist weapon go for it, if you don't feel like you need to , then don't.
That's about as realisic as it gets and it will also please people who enjoy swapping weapons for the hell of trying out new ones.
