I meant GRAW for PC yeah, heres the Q&A about weapons in GRAW.
Is it possible to take weapons on the body of dead enemies? Or dead allies?
Some soldiers would argue that you do not use a weapon you do not know, as it could be badly maintained or booby trapped. We can however pick up ammo in the field.
I voted no for two reasons;
1) As has been already brought up, why would you trade a well maintained weapon for which you should already have plenty of ammo for an enemy's weapon which is in unknown operating condition AND could be booby-trapped?
2) Just how many tangoes are we going to be facing that necessitates the picking up ofenemy weapons? For ammo?! Real operators go into action with more than enough ammo to get the job done. I suppose this is consistent with the 'suppressive fire' of the 360 version. I hope to god this doesn't make it into the PC version.
Absolutely. I never heard of a CT (or even SWAT) team picking weapons in the middle of an operation. It was the only stupid thing in The Regiment (and I myself never picked up enemy weapons in that game).Originally posted by deosl:
Personally I don't think it's realistic that the R6 operatives will pick up the tango's weapons.
If it's necessary because of the gameplay or the number of enemies, then it's ... BAD.
So the answer to the poll question is: NO.
I voted no as well due to the realistic constraints of what goes on in the real world in ops like R6 portray.
You see... THIS is the kind of feedback we need to make sure gets back to whoever is going to be doing the actual PC version because this is a clear example of the differences between audiences on the different platforms and why UBI doesn't dare try another one-size-fits-all approach like with LD.Originally posted by Relenquish:
Although I wouldnt mind bieng able to take equipment off dead comrades. Especialy if they have a piece of kit important to your plan.
As a last ditch thing when your weapon is non-functioning and you have no other option it would happen. Other than that, no, why pick up a weapon of unkown condition and fuctionality when your weapon is maintained by you?
Personally I see this feature having little effect on you unless you choose to pick up the weapon.
...But that ends if the levels are designed to force you to scanvage for a new weapon because of a unrealistic small loadout or it's a tango shooting gallery. That would be my concern, not the actual weapon pickup part.
Peoples main argument is that the guns could be trapped or be less reliable.
How about if the negative aspects were included? If guns did jam or were booby-trapped. Would anyones opinions change if they made it realistic?
Would it be worth ubis time?
Personally I would say it wouldnt be worth the production time. But if they included it realistically I would not complain.
