I just completed the 4th out of 12 sessions, and the 10 routines in each of these 4 sessions have all been exactly the same with the exercises in the exact same order. Do they ever switch up, or are all 12 sessions exactly the same?

I finished it about a week ago, and while I can't remember if each routine was exactly the same, you don't get any new exercises.

I have read elsewhere - I believe it was on the YSFE facebook page: In the personal training section all the general training, simply called Cardio, Toning and Sculpting, and don't state the number of sessions, the routines change as time goes on. But all the specially named training (Cardio Racing, Toning arms and Shoulders, Men's Fat Burner etc.) that have 12 numbered sessions the routines stay the same throughout the 12 sessions. This has been the case with all the various personal training I have tried so far.

Wasn't this game advertised that we would never do the same routine twice?

I wonder why they did it this way. I'll have to go back to the general training for a bit after the cardio racer sessions are done. I was doing the general training before, but found it too easy, so that's why I switched to cardio racer as someone here was mentioning it was intense. I don't think I was doing advanced though.

I know I've said it was intense on these boards...especially compared to the other workouts available right now.

Mine was on advanced, but again, there is no documentation as to what the difference would be between other stages...

I agree. I definitely have to take issue with that advertising statement - it's completely inaccurate.

As far as the way the game works, it seems to me that a certain amount of repetition is entirely necessary.

True, particularly since they have it set up that if you switch to a different routine, you will lose your progress on your current one. So I *have* to continue the 12 repetitive cardio racer sessions before moving to something else.

That's not even bringing up that it is usually best not to do cardio every single day, but to mix it with other things like strength training.

What I really liked about My Fitness Coach on the Wii (also by Ubisoft) is that really did mix and match a lot of different exercises based on your goal (strength, cardio, etc.) but it didn't completely limit all the exercises to that goal. Even if you picked strength, you would still end up getting legs, cardio, core, etc. throughout the week.

My Fitness Coach with Kinect would have been awesome! Even without Kinect, I still use it.
