ahh vat grown meat, aka longpig... anyone read transmetropolitan?
but yeah great, then we can set to converting crop fields over to biofuels without pushing wheat prices up. or coming up with a better method.
and it's not just the carbon dioxide that's a problem. it's also the stuff like deforestation, methane emissions, clearance of habitats and increased flooding (see lack of trees) and desertification.
there is a simple solution for all of these things which allows all of us to drive suv's an litter all we want:Originally posted by flyingloon:

stop breeding. earth is overcrowded. there are too few resources because there are too many competing for those resources. no demand = no supply.

that is certainly a problem, and you offer the solution. but i feel that natural wastage would just take too long. there must be a cull, starting with the vegans - they'll be too weak to run fast or far anyway.
"Vegans are those people who take the food away from my food."
PETA is a sorry bunch of fools at best and a group of intolerant eco-fascists at worst. Ignoring them seems to be the only way of dealing with them.
Actually I remember a PETA information booth at Berlin Ostbahnhof a few years back trying to talk people into vegetarians. Right next to McDonalds. They also tried to talk to me, I refused politely, they tried to push and I turned on my heels and walked away. Straight into McDonalds. Even though I wasn't hungry I bought the biggerst burger with the most meat they had and walked past the idiots chewing and grinning.![]()
lol, I was wearing a hunting hat once, with a "Successful Ontario Deer Hunter 2005" badge on the front (the gov't gives them to every hunter) and walked right by one of their stands protesting hunting, they didnt even clue in and tried to get me to sign their petition. fockign idiots.Originally posted by csThor:
