Thanks guys
I can give you a little teaser, the opening few lines...
"The high pressure jets of water that hissed down from above stung his forehead, forcing him to close his eyes. He felt the water slowly rise around him, ankle deep now.
Confined in this cramped space with no where to go, no urge to fight it came. A semi dream like state washed over him as the water inched ever higher from below, and continued to hammer down from above.
In the distance a voice softly called out. One of the crew. No need to respond. He stayed motionless, eyes closed. There was nothing else he could do but allow the water to claim them. Far off, rhythmic banging - the crew hammering against the pressure hull. Futile. Why couldn't they just give in, and doze like he was?
The hypnotic trance was suddenly shattered as a rush of cold air wrapped around him and he fell forward.
"Maverick! What have I told you about falling asleep in the shower!?" shouted his wife. As the steam cleared he could see he was being handed a telephone.
"Some guy for you, phoning long distance, says you know him, insisted you take the call"
Dripping water all over the floor, Maverick put the handset to his ear, "Hello? Sorry, I was in the shower. Who's this?"
