Yesterday I was assigned yet another mission in the vicinity of Equatorial Africa!!

While it was pretty "gutsy" of the BdU to order a TypeIID on a cruise of that length, ...they at least had the decency to station German tramp steamers at Vigo and The Canary Islands to refuel and re-supply us in route.

After an uneventful 24 hours of patrolling our grid square, we decided to go looking for trouble: ....And since Freetown was close at hand, ...a little bit of "Port Raiding" seemed to be in order!

Yup! ......That's us INSIDE the breakwaters! .........Talk about your "target rich environments"!!

We take our first careful peek with the periscope, .....and what do we find???

    ........But we can "fix" that!

.......Just like we "fixed" the Large Tanker we found!

......And across the harbor we found a Medium Tanker; .....which seemed like the perfect place for our last torpedo!

We had visions of using the 20mm guns to shoot up some of the smaller vessels anchored outside the breakwaters (and away from the shore batteries), ....but we "discovered" that Tommy had rigged a Submarine Net to protect them...............

Foiled in the attempt to get close enough for 20mm gunnery, ...we set sail for home; ....having sunk some 48,000 tons with only five torpedoes!

    Errr, ....No.

I'm not really partial to English Cooking or English prison camps!

....Actually, there was a third German tramp steamer stationed at Cadiz: ......But I made it from Vigo to The Canary Islands without using him.

Yeah! ....and this was not the "Socko Modified Ruptured Duck"!!!

This patrol was actually done "straight up", with regular "realism factors" in place!

Hey guys ! Nice job KL !! I'm going to guess that you have a MOD on there... may I ask which? I have WAC light, but it seems to add very little to my game. Of course because of my older computer I'm only running 768mg of ram, but my Vid card is really nice... I go into a port and maybe one, two ships at most... many times empty.
