    so far , no.
Searching by Lobby or Client (much better ) is the only way so for, or direct IP.
and COOP has a horrible GUI...

And the current status of the game is even questionable for serious online use...try to change the crew position in a Blenheim as example

CoD is far away , even after these weeks, from IL2 in 2001 after such time. the Hyperlobby was full of very enjoyable, open COOPs .... BBury's "Death Valey" anyone, one the Crimea map

Not to forgett that the FullMissionBuilder, with its lack of documentation, have still to be learned. As example its scripting system (even for simple winconditions you have to make a script now ...).

    Give this thing time.

    AFAIAA.
COD is. Or is meant to be an extremely realistic flying Sim.
There are those who have bought this game on this premise.
If you read the PDF. manual you will understand the undertaking that the devs have taken to make it such.
There are so many variables with this Sim. Far far more than any other Game not just Sim!
This will limit the number of suitable scenarios/players to an "Airquake Scenario" ATMO.
Plus thre are those who have bought this Sim only to find that. They cannot play it on their Rigs.

Hopefully more will appreciate what this Sim is about.

That still does not excuse the fact that the developers who rewrote the book on what an online combat flight sim should be.. a group that single handedly raised the bar to heights that were just only dreams in 2000, has now come up with a product that though technically far more advanced than anything on the market.. for all intents and purposes operationally, logistically and as far as playability goes, for now... at least is a bust.

I just thought fior sure that 1C would build on what they had created with IL2.. as far as features and playability and availability goes.. but that is not the case.. you cant even get online with this without STEAM.. That alone will hamper the full growth of the sim.. We will see what the future holds.. and I will get the sim as soon as I can.. but I see here that it is offered for $30 .. and I still can't get it.. and when I can it will be offered to me for $50 most likely.. that bites man.. It is like saying STFU and just give me your money.. Who cares if you have bought every single release in the series that was offered, usually within the first week .. (and of course I am not talking about just me... but the entire loyal IL2 community that has been waiting patiently for this for years now.. with a large contingent in the continental U.S. mind you..) by UBI & 1C since IL2 was first released.. SCREW YOU!!

That's how it feels at least... anyway.. I am done venting about this. When it comes I may get it as soon as I can.. I may not. Right now between 46 & WoP I have what I want in flight sim goodness .. I may just wait until/if the next theater is released (I never thought I wold ever be saying that... ) and get it cheaper.. and it is already modded from what I hear?

    TBH.
It wouldn't matter when you get it. We will all moan/request some improvement.
Unless US.buyers are fond of BoB and no American planes. They will not play it anyway.
I would love to see "Other Theatres" in this Sim.
TBH.Unless they are already in the pipeline. We may have a long wait.

But then time will allow those who want to play, have time to upgrade their PCs to allow it.

Fact is even if they gave "YOU" $50.00 to download it.

You'll still have to upgrade to play it.

May depend when you go online, but I'm in Oz so not the best time zone and last night there was about 20 people in Syndicates full real server, the airquake server usually has 15 - 20, the numbers are comparable with ROF online at the times I go on, but getting this on HL would really kick things of, but its going to take time for people to get good coop missions up and running, before that they need to do some work on the FM's and get all the planes flying at there correct speed, and alts etc.

Most people, have, conveniently, forgotten all the "me wants", "give me this", wouldn't it be cool..." etc. More request threads than can be counted over the years of development updates.

The single BIGGEST mistake the dev team made was actually listen to this community instead of take what's been learned from IL2 and its development.

    Huuuge misstake imo.

Sounds like i, in some parts blame "us" doesnt it. Well, in some parts i do. Everyone KNOWS Oleg listens, sometimes more than he should, and people took advantage of that. Clickable cockpits is a small example.

Im sure, given time, CoD will become what we all hoped it would be on release (unreasonable wish imo). As it is now however, we as a community have played a part in CoD`s current state, weather we admit it or not because if the team wouldn't have listened the community would have ripped them a new one because of THAT.

Same with Steam and online play in CoD, its a mess compared to Hyper Lobby but we all know why we are here now, dont we. Starts with "IL2" and ends with "hacked". Something a large part of this community felt was the best thing since sliced bread. Well, we pay for it now.

Iv been a member of a fair few forums in my time and i have never come across a community thats more great full and ungrateful/demanding at the same time.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

I live in the US, like some others on the boards I went thru " JustFlight" and have been playing off line for a month. Since day one I have never had any issue with smooth game play and frame rates ( I guess I pray to the proper deity) COD is light years ahead of IL-2 1946 in the important aspects of simulating the feeling of flight, the complex engine management, and above all damage modeling. The Landscape is better than any 1946 has to offer, including the buildings. I quit playing IL-2 1946 in earnest several years ago. It became too frustrating, for a " combat flight sim " when AI rear/dorsal gunners could take out your aircraft, while their's is doing a cartwheel.Twin engine bombers could gyrate wildly like a hooked fish, never lose speed and still place a single round in the engine of my P-39, peircing the front armament, the seat armour and seize the engine. If the aircraft had a Red Star(P-40) on it the 6 .50's were effective, yet the same configuation on the P-51, Hellcat and Corsair subsantially less effective.Oleg's biased and the game engine clearly leanied toward the small( aircraft and formations), low altitude skirmishes that took place on the Eastern front.None of these inaccuracies, and many more are ever going to be amended.COD at present a work in progress with a disapointing plane set and single map, hopefully will be refined into an outstanding finished product.I think the community should give Luthier the opportunity to show us what he has, before it pronounces COD..... DOA.

If spending $50 dollars results in your "finacial ruin" there may be a better use of your time than staring at some pixels on a screne.
