    hi guys i have perfect settings on and i get very low fps,when i window the game in the games options i getr full fps! weird.. please can someone help my config is...
    plus ive downloaded the latest dll's and nothing,thanks regards josh, oh and my graphics card details

    In addition to what Stealth_Owl posted,

    change
    HardwareShaders=0
    to
    HardwareShaders=1

    in the Render_OpenGL section.
    I would also install the latest drivers (190.6x). They have better IQ regarding sun reflections and color-banding.

    After doing that Do NOT go into the games own Video settings or it will overwrite these changes again.

    In the nVidia Controle pannel under the profile for IL2 set these ONLY, leave all others default!

    Antialiasing - Mode = Override any application setting
    Antialiasing - Setting = 16xQ (or lower if it impacts performance to much)
    Antialiasing - Transparency = Supersampling

    Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration = Use global setting(Multiple display performance mode)
    You can try to set this to "Single" if you still have problems.

    changing anything else than those to anything other than Default/Recomended might only give (more) glitches or/and slow down performance.
    All the other settings are set in the Conf.ini and could conflict with the nVidia controle pannel settings.

    As far as i know these are the best posible settings for the new nVidia cards so i hope these work for you also.

    p.s. dont forget before edeting the Conf.ini file to make sure you have OpenGL selected in IL2 Setup.


    I recomend you download these DLL files that should solve some graphics glitches and increase the view distance with newer videocards.

    On top of that you might want to try these Beta (developer) drivers for OpenGL 3.2 http://developer.nvidia.com/ob...opengl_3_driver.html (runs IL2 better for me than the current OpenGL 3.1 drivers)

    you can use whatever you want water=3 or water=4 , as long as you have selected " clear " in weather options selection you will get pretty much flat water, I have GTS250 and it's same with all of us .
    Give it try , select first quick mission with clear weather @ 12:00 and fly and look how water looks like , then exit select hazy weather @ 12:00 and fly around looking how water looks now , it will be shiny and waves one after another
    I had recently posted screenshot of Midway map water and it looked almost dead flat , after changing to HAZY , it turned immediately in to amazing water , here is also short video if you want to see it Midway :

    Without hazy weather selection, that water was almost flat with Water=4 setting and clear weather selection .
