There was one very innovative device that was developed by the Allies. It was based on this equation.

Ah Yes! ....But it's important to remember that "The Competition" was only a matter of months behind the U.S.

....And that was one race in which "2nd Place" was no fun at all!

    Yes

    Found another nice vid.

These guys restored the Maybach diesel engine of a Panther tank which spend the last 60 years in a river in Poland.

    Engine test

Check out their other videos too.

Ah! I remember that video, Celeon.

I recall someone here challenging that it was genuine - that they restarted the engine?

Hmmm,.. why not ? I just depends on how many components they had to replace.

I *think* the argument was it would have been impossible to just clean up the engine and restart it without having replaced any parts which was the claim of the authors of the video?

I may be wrong. But then again, I'm a Moderator so that's just impossible

Hmmm i haven't read that they claim this anywhere.

    BTW :

Photos of the two Tiger prototypes during secret trials in a forest in Poland.

Notice the untypical body (suggested by Porsche and got rejected later) and the position of the turret.

It went through quite some drastic changes before series production began.

    Yes! ....That was me!

The debate was about a T-34 that had been pulled out of a lake after 60 years, and supposedly started after "minor maintenance".

    I still don't believe it!
