For my 6800GT, cause I heard that the 66.93 series are problematic in SHIII, which I plan on getting next week.

My BFG 6800 Works really well in PF with 71.25 drivers. Even got rid of all of the micorstutters I was having. Had no problems with any other games as well, so I highly recommend trying them.

Drivers to recommend: The ExtremeG series. Been running the 71.20s for some time, with excellent results. Now running 75.90, good too...still a little early to say if they are as good as the 71.20s.

Is there any point upgrading past 66. drivers if you're not running a 6800 (yet)?

Successive drivers usually mean a performance increase, but...as far as I know tweaking is now only for the 6 series cards.

Anyone in the know?

66.93 and 71.84 work very well for me. I get a few more frames with the 71.84's and they have just been upgraded from beta to official drivers.

XG 75.90s come with install options for several generations of cards, including mine which is GF Ti4200. Yes, opinion leans towards gain when upgrading, even for the old hardware.

I second or third that ..... for the 71.20 XG or 71.25 best in all games for me, especially PF and LockOn........All Nvidia drivers above 71.25 have a little bug that sends the 2D temps up a few degrees...I just stay with 71.20

I use the 71.25's and found them to be very good and stable drivers for a multitude od games.
