I really wonder if it's Ubi's way of weaning us all off the forum in preparation for when SOW kills it off.
But they have a ton of other forums with some really hot games, you'd think they wouldn't want to drive away so many gamers with a broken website that doesn't remember you're logged in. It all started when they put a "log in with Facebook because you're 12 years old aren't you!" link on the login page. Might have something to do with that.
More like months and months.
Also two things:
a) Firefox has a thing where it remembers your password, you can choose what sites to do it on. So at least that way it's already typed out in the password bar. But you still have to hit "log in" and then often you have to wait a while because this site is falling apart. I would imagine IE and Chrome have a similar password-saving feature.
b) also if you keep at least one window open with your browser after logging in on this site, it will record you as logged in so long as you don't close all your browser windows.
