F1 *yawn* he who starts on pole wins... or he who spends most wins... how lame *** is that. I wana see talent, i wana see close racing, i wana see action, i could care less the tracks are shorter and have less turns. NASCAR provides more action that you open wheel people know what to do with.
It is obvious that you did not see last sesson my god that was agood seson it had everything lodes of passing and drama and evreything but I can see the attraction of NASCAR and think that the AMERCANS have the right to support it keep it cive guys.

Naw, Montoya didn't need the money. He's one of those rare individuals who wonder if they can make it in another field, aren't afraid to look silly for awhile, and has the ability to learn something new. I think Montoya did it for the pure challenge.

After all, he must have known that the odds were stacked against him and we probably ought to ask Franchitti about all that glistening cash we're supposed to follow. Who makes more money, a champion open wheel driver or a failure NASCAR driver? No, there's much more going on here than money.

In the bad old days I'd say that relative safety might be part of it, but the open wheel circuits have cleaned up their acts quite a bit. They're still more dangerous than NASCAR but not so vastly so any more. The way they're talking about F1 they're apt to be racing golf carts in a couple of years anyway, damned tree huggers!

Now it IS possible that the drivers see NASCAR as a more economically healthy series. I think that's a grave mistake. With their drift toward a one-design racecar and away from stock cars, with the trouble American car manufacturers are in and the obscenely high ticket prices NASCAR is charging to view races, I believe they've peaked and are on the way down. Surely the die-hard race fan that built NASCAR is no longer welcome at the track. They've bet on very fickle corporations for their income. These corporations have no loyalty at all and will leave NASCAR in a lurch in a split second for a better opportunity. I see dead people...

Um i did see it actually, and the only good thing about the past f1 season was the night race.. other than that *yawn* the amount of passing was laughable. The only real drama lately in F1 was crashgate... but thats it.

Oh and if you are going to knock Americans, please spell it right.

It's a bit bizarre knocking someone for knocking Americans (however you might wish to spell it ) when they sport this for a nameplate:

Edit: OK, so I'm the one being bizarre there. YOU have the American (however you might wish to spell it ) nameplate. Play the spooky music NOW!!!

what does my car have to do with anything? yes i own one, and i could care less that there is no more pontiac.

I made that choice 2 years ago when i knew that i would have to wait a while for my car, and that there was a chance of the brand going away..

I still got what what i wanted... oh and if you want to bring up the fact that its not a real american car, fine- yes its made in australia, by Holden, which is a GM company. it has the same LS3 thats in the Corvette (another GM product).

Im not sure where my car fits into this but if you wana bash it go and read about it first.. there are lots of reviews and videos all over. then we can talk.

OK Phil, I'll get it right sooner or later (most likely later!) YOU'RE the one with the Pontiac nameplate. NEVER MIND!!!

Somehow I was under the misconception that doogerie had..... NEVER MIND!!!

This is Roseanne Rosanadanadana signing off.

EDIT: and I COULD care less that there is no Pontiac. What kind of brain death does it take to kill Pontiac and keep Buick? Somehow I think your car will survive even though Pontiac is gone. It deserves to continue to be built. Who cares what the nameplate says? What am I saying???? Buick???? Yuk! Better hand me one of them beers. Better hand me a lotta beers! Is it good German beer? American beer is crap!

I agree yes,yes..of course I do,look at all the NASCAR drivers who go to F1,good lord!!the F1 teams are dying to snap them up :&gtAnd yes F1 can be boring as can any sport at times, but to get into any sport you have to know the sport well, drivers, cars, teams not just watch it a few times.NOTHING is more boring than about 30 cars going round and around banging into each other and taking about 5 other cars out too, hence the fines NASCAR drivers regularly get for fighting because of sheer frustration being taken out because of BAD driving.I can safely say NASCAR gets big crowds and MOST of them are there to see CRASHES,and by the way both sports are big $,plus there is more technology in a F1 cars seat than the whole car in NASCAR:&gt

Now MEBOAT, if you've ever been to a race anywhere, you know the crowds aren't there just to watch crashes. That's a cheap shot anywhere in the world.

And NASCAR gets the boring tag from people who don't understand it, just as F1 and IndyCar do. And from an objective standpoint, it has some pretty boring aspects. NASCAR also plays follow the leader a lot, as good competition means the cars are pretty equal. The casual observer would be just as bored at a NASCAR, F1 or IndyCar event and probably couldn't spot any meaningful difference.

Interest comes from knowledge. As an example, I'm an amateur astronomer. We look at highly technical things in the night sky called fuzzballs. Sorry if I'm being too technical. We get ALL excited to look at a particular fuzzball: "HOLY SHEEPDIP, I'm looking at NGC 5139!!! That is EXCELLENT!!!!" You look in the eyepiece and you see.......a fuzzball. This fuzzball looks just like a galaxy or a planetary nebula or many open star clusters, or maybe just a foggy spot on the lens. It's damned late at night because NGC 5139 didn't rise until 3:00 am, and you're just over it. After all, I've been all excited showing you what look like identical fuzzballs with different incomprehensible numbers all night.

The only thing that makes me excited and you bored is our difference in knowledge. I know what the nature of the object is, how far away it is, the history of human observation of the object. I've looked at it in a variety of different kinds of instruments and can compare what I see tonight with what I've seen before. Almost all my appreciation for what is happening comes from between my ears and very little comes from my retina. But the retina is all you have engaged here. Rightly, you say "Time to call it a night."

    Racing is like that.

The reason why Buick stayed is because it sells so well in china. and the G8 is coming back as the caprice, but its only available to governments, and thats starting next year..

oh and i have tried all the Falcon 4 tips and tricks for it under Vista, but i cant get it to work... its slightly frustrating, because i hear good things about it. Tho i would love to get the old JANES USAF to run again, tho not technically a sim, it definately had a ton of fun in it!
