I spent last Sunday on the "Batfish"¯ in Muskogee, OK. I have lots of pictures, but won't get a chance to upload them until next week, so here is a teaser. I bought the "Submarine Cuisine"¯ cookbook at the gift shop.

Here is the menu from a US Fleetboat for 12-1-44. The boat's name is illegible.
The boys ate well. Even had an ice cream machine..

I'll read through it and try some of the recipes when I get a chance.

Looks as good as a heart attack! High calory and high fat diet. No wonder they didn't like POW rations.

What's "BBC" shown in some of the selections? I know this is going to be something really dumb or really obvious, and everyone will be like

The Batfish people are great folks. I hope you got to meet Rick Dennis while you were there.

There are a lot of forum members here who volunteer with the Batfish.

Yeah you must be right. Not very dangerous sounding though.

Next time I talk to my dad, I'll see if he cant e-mail me a menu of what he would have prepared when he was a submarine cook back in the 80's. Do a comparison.
