First flight, on Greater Green. Snuck up behind an F4U-1C in an La-7. He was running home at 0ft so I flamed his motor from 100m.Very satisfying.
Didn't have much more luck on GG though - nowadays I usually fly UKDedicated1. I like being able to watch my plane from outside. Wish they could turn off externals on enemy planes though...![]()
first kill was in a dogfight room 1 vs 1 against an old mentor-Flamed him the first run-spit vs Stang...He returned the favor many times over...My first Kill that I really remember was on Zekes Vs Wildcats- P-40 vs a gent in a Rufe...I dove down from 3000 ft to 250 to sneakup on his tail...got within 100 yds and opened up...never saw me coming....

First kill was on my first sortie. I had played for well over a year offline before venturing online. I'm still learning new tricks 8 months down the track.
I spent a very paranoid 10 minutes climbing to 7000m on Warclouds in a P-47D-27, head twisting like a weathervane. The server was fairly empty, with maybe 10 players or so but I wasn't taking chances.
Spotted a grey dot below me while cruising well behind the front lines, reefed it over into a shallow diving turn and lined up a 190A. Opened fire VERY late, blitzed past the poor guy at about 5000m doing over 800 kph indicated. Never looked back and I can't even remember seeing any hits but I got a nice 'enemy destroyed' message about 30-40 seconds later.
On the same flight I also cleaned up a 109 (snapped a wing off on a low angle deflection shot), damaged a 190D (tough buggers) and had a squirt at a high alt He-111 on a bombing run before my guns ran dry. I still remember thinking I was going to screw up the landing; my heart rate was way up and I didn't want to bugger up my first sortie. I came in hot, put it down none too gently, applied the brakes a little too hard and flipped the Jug A over T, ended up inverted in the middle of the concrete runway. Still two kills and a couple of 'damageds', I very rarely repeat that level of performance.
I wasn't having any luck at all online untill I went up there with a wingman.
First sortie, my wingman is cruising along nice and level, picks up a 109 on his six and makes it nice and easy for him, rolling into a gentle turn that only JUST pulled ahead of his sights for easy deflection.
A second later, I dived in and set him alight with a nice easy 15degree deflection burst in my Spit.
Drag 'n' Bag works so well it almost feels like cheating

Dunno how long (in flights) it took me, but I guess a lot of 'm, as I remember being so very enjoyed that I even posted about it in the forum here. So I picked the 'longer than ...' option
It was a fun fun experience, (to me anyways)
