Because for all intents and purposes, that's the only thing that would evoke one. (I acknowledge the dramatic subject, in all fairness I *am* going out of the way to elicit a reply. 'Eff it. At this point, why not?)
Why the silent treatment? Why the BS?
The initial release subject has been posted already. But why is it only within the past week (give or take a day) has the <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] store (@ their website) only NOW changed the release date from Novermber 2006 to "Winter 2006"?
Moreover, for 2-3 weeks (again, give or take a day/s), Gamestop's been listing a release date of 'Shipping 3/1'.
Are they just ahead of the curve, and we're going to get screwed again? Honestly, if that's the case just COME WITH IT ALREADY, this is nonsense as to how this is being addressed.. or, as the case is-- NOT addressed.
For the record, this has absolutely nothing to do with 360 v. PS3, or v. PC, for that matter. (At the current rate, I'll most likely wind up buying the PC version)
Just that this whole game of shut-mouth has been old for a while now, and Ubi's apparently too busy rolling around in the money from the released versions to give a damn.
There's no rational explanation for the cold shoulder since Nov 14th.. and as a customer/consumer, I'm fed up with it.
Should we hope for any news prior to January 29th? Other than the game being delayed again? Or, pray tell, can we have the courtesy of a little more notice this time?
I agree.Originally posted by SOF_Airborne:

Maybe UBi's waiting for more PS3 to be sold.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Ravenous,
As a dual-console owner (360/PS3), I asked my local EB games manager when the Vegas PS3 release was slated for. His response was "Its been cancelled." "You mean delayed, right?" I asked. "No, cancelled." -- take that convo for what it's worth.
I hope <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] can deny or confirm for you.
Rolling around in the money? On the 6th UbiSoft posted its earnings for the last six-months ending sept. 30th. They are, in fact, still in the red and have an operating loss of $46.9 million. They are basically praying on Vegas, Splinter Cell, and Red Steel to be their holiday hits. Not releasing information on Vegas probably has nothing to do with being 46.9 million in the red. And they certainly aren't " rolling" around in the revenues. <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">Ubi[/b] has more crucial marketing to do that giving exclusives to a game that will probably be the same as it was on the 360 if not worse. And with GRAW 2 on the horizon, I'm guessing Vegas(PS3) is quite a ways from release.Originally posted by Ravenous101:

Well, now you know how we feel on the PC. Our only screens and info are coming from people who downloaded the leaked version.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
