It is very unfortunate however that WE were not told beforehand, like in the German Forums.Yup! As some of you already know, Patch v1.3 for Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific has been released! This patch can be applied on Silent Hunter 4 Original Version, on Patch 1.1 or on Patch 1.2. Download it at one of the links below, and check out all the details below:
It is also very unfortunate the silence from the Ubisoft Community Managers that should perhaps have taken steps to inform the forum previously and not after a member, which was not me, post the link for the download.
THIS is my critic.
on a brighter note, i'm quite happy to see that all the waiting paid off.
PS. why did you block the thread with the link?
was it breaking any rules? which ones?
PPS it seems to me that you came late after the "fait acomplie" and that what you are now posting here we have already translated from the german forums.
To Dev Team
Great. Think dive has far been improved, thats good point. Now seems the DDs have pbs, specially when there only few of them only alive, they loose the tactic, just wait on surface ...
Still thanks to Dev team, I'vve seen lot of request taken in account, like the ammount of water shown in the F10 station when flooding.
Nice job. Think people will try to "push this 1.3 to its limits" ... ;-)
Bye.
JF.
That's one I'm interested in too. They didn't reinstate the hull damage percentage indicator from SH3, and we know (I think?) that the game was storing a damage variable that wasn't indicated on the damage control screen. I think that's what causes the "sudden death on dive" syndrome: the hull is breached but it's not showing anywhere on the damage control screen. So we'll need to test this, to see if it's still there.Originally posted by DeepCrush:
Did the fix for "suddend death" when diving with incidental damage get fixed?
I've seen one report here that another bug is still in the game -- the deck gun crew being injured when the boat is submerged and the guns take damage. But that's fairly minor annoyance, and we can work around it by moving crew into the gunner slots only when needed for surface combat.
The "hidden" damage issue is more serious. I really hope that's fixed, because this is likely to be the last patch.
The Hidden Static Unrepairable Damage was very useful and easy to check in SH3 ,by looking at the HULL INTEGRITY DAMAGE PERCENTAGE ,I dont understand why the developer team of SH4 forget to install this helpful tool in Silent Hunter 4 .I hope this patch 1.3 contains this tool ,if not , may be UBISOFT can add this tool in the next patch 1.4 ,thank you
