I've always found reds to be the most difficult to pick when doing any design work. Being too bright can make it too intense, especially when put with a neutral background. A shade darker red would perfect (for me), but I really like the new banner.
And it matches my sig now

The red is great. Especially on gray with an offset of white . Maybe you guys should try staying off the forums a bit more <.<.
