I've been installing some community sound files and I've over-written the original gb.wav in the menu music folder, could anyone post it so I don't have to reinstall the game and all of my mods.
    Regards

    "All of your mods"???

What mods? There are none. You need to explain a bit more

All I need is the gb.wav file, the mods I speak of are not important, it doesn't matter what I've installed into IL-2, I've accidently replaced the gb.wav without backing up the original one first thats all. I refer to them as mods, which in a way they are, skins, missions and campaigns. I don't fancy having to put them all back into the game.

Just get it off your original CD. You can explore the CD by cancelling the install and then opening up the drive, then copy and paste the file you need.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Come and get your skins and missions at The A.F.S.G.

By mods I think he means campaigns, skins, pilot portraits, maybe IL-2 MAT Manager. If I remember correctly, the RAF campaign pack had the replacement GB.wav file.

Anyhow, does the .wav you need affect the music at the RAF career intro, or is it causing pilot chatter to loop during missions? Without looking I don't recall if the .wav files that cause these sounds have separate names. I'll e-mail to you if you can't find the original on the CD; just PM me.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I mapped my keyboard controls so they're easier to remember, and added user- defined commands</A>

    Read Cyclonus' second post

"I refer to them as mods, which in a way they are, skins, missions and campaigns. I don't fancy having to put them all back into the game." None of that stuff mods the sim, but that's what he meant. No need to re-load or get a wav from e-mail though

Okay, yeah, I admit I only glanced over his second post Chuck. I was looking to see if anybody had posted a solution.

And now that I've taken a look at the default music files, it seems that us.wav and gb.wav are the same so just copy/rename the us.wav<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Thanks all for the input, I've sorted it now All I wanted to do was revert back to the default menu music when using the UK instead of the BoB campaign music (Churchill) Also I did look on the original CD but its all packed into .cab files and when you look in them its still packed, so I couldn't get the original music off the disc.
