Actually I have all the links and what not posted here but what I do not have is a PDF with the pictures that go along with it. Sadly the pics were lost before I thought to save it.Originally posted by Yen Lo:
Hey Psych did I read that you thought Noob Patrol #4 was lost?
Also how do you turn these into PDF's I love to be able to keep them in a consice area as oppose to bookmarked, thanks!but alas if that is the worse thing that happens no big deal. Thanks though. I appreciate it.
As far as PDF's go. I create mine using a Mac OSX (Tiger) (Panther) or (Jaguar) will allow you the option to save anything as a PDF by a nifty little option menu in the print window. On a PC, and I could be wrong here, I think it would be a simple matter of doing a cut and paste though you would probably need a program from adobe. If you want just send me your E-mail address in a private message and I'd be happy to send you the PDF's that I have.

I should be posting something about the Sock Patrols later today I hope. Just depends on how busy things get around here today. Keep Hunting
How right you are. I had these made outside of the U-505 exhibit in Chicago. However they were an important piece of inspiration for the book. Yes I am dusting off the old chestnut of the book and pounding the keys once again. I had given the book to a number of people to read and always heard back that it was good but it lacked a through line. It made sense as the patrols themselves were seperate stories that I just stitched together. Well I was getting ready for bed last night when inspiration hit and this morning in the shower, where all great ideas come to me, I had a eureka moment and started writing on the train in this morning. So I'm hoping the book should be ready for submission sometime in December and the Dog Tags, even though AmericanBut these above are the wrong type of dogtags![]()
were the inspiration behind the new ideas. Keep hunting.

Out Of Character (OOC): This bit of text was taken from a codebook I created for July 1941 using the Enigma Codebook Tool available here.
For the In Character (IC) portion of this post, I have replicated a semi-authentic message by running it through the Enigma Simulator available here . I will post the decrypted version in parenthesis for those who don't care to use the simulator. Note that this snippet from the codesheet would not have been sent IC (as every uboat had an updated codebook for their month/year). It should be assumed that U1 can decode this (unless Psychfilm wants to use that as a plot device...).

(Greetings Kaleun Smitlack,
I thought you might like to know that while patrolling in grid BF 15 I noted an armed medium cargo (C-2) with an angry looking captain standing on deck. He was nude and, from the hair, looked as though he had recently been in a fire. The ship was headed into BF 13 at high speed. Possibly headed for Liverpool. Just thought I would let you know in case you wan)
