Well, in who knows how many careers, I got reports of task forces, but never caught one. Sank a couple escort carriers in hunter-killer groups, risky stuff.

Well, today I met a part of a task force that went on to intercept the Bismarck. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Bismarck itself, or witness the battle that was supposed to happen. This is RuB 1.45.

Saw an unmistakable shape of a carrier, and smoke from escorts. 15 m/s wind, and low clouds. These guys are moving at top speed. Nobody heard me. One escort actually came within maybe 30 meters and didn't notice me.

As I was lining up the shot for the carrier, i looked behind it at a rather weird escort. Well, as it closed in, it turned out to be a Revenge battleship! Never seen one of those out of port before...

Well, heavy seas, decided to go impact. 2 spread for the carrier. Fired those from the hip, about 300 meters out. Both hit. Ahead flank, about turn, remaining 2 fish for the Revenge, which was following off the the side a bit. Those hit as well. And produced no visible effect. Well, explosions and all, but the BB never even slowed down.

The carrier also re-started its engines and ahead it went. Fired the stern tube at the carrier, which settled her. The Revenge however, started to slow down eventually, and crawled to about 3 knots or so. The escorts left her all alone and ahead they went after about 1 hour game time of depth charging... something, but not me.

So I caught up to the Revenge underwater. The weather started to clear up, and i needed to finish the job quick in case escorts returned. Fired one last fish. Which did absolutely nothing. Enough of that. Fired one more fish aiming for frontmost turret in hopes that THAT magazine can go off. Go off it did! For some reason I didn't take any screens. Except this final blow to the BB.

I like those effects. Just something tells me there is something wrong with the flare glow on water
