    When i take off (200kph) the plane rolls left (which i have to adjust for) of its own accord. The rolling stops once I get to cruise speed.

    This also happens when landing which is making landing difficult. For landings I'm having to give it some right stick to stay level. I thought that with full flaps, 30% above stall speed I wouldn't need any aileron input to stay level but I keep rolling left!

    Is this normal behaviour at slow speed? In MS FS2004 this doesn't happen! I have full realism settings on and can repeat the problem in all aircraft i've tried. e.g. Spitfire, 190, 109, Mustang etc. Please help.

    Its normal behavior.
    Its called torgue.
    In MS FS 2004 you dont fly 2000hp powered beasts not intendet for novice pilots.

    Hi there, if you are using a stick, make sure that the trim wheel is'nt way out of center. Sometimes the weight of your hand will turn the wheels.

    Well, it does actually. Depends on the AC and the accuracy of its flight modelling.

    You do, you know. There're some extremely good hi-perf prop AC for FS2004 available, and to my experience they are actually more demanding to fly than anything in IL-2. See the thread "FS2004 & IL2-PF" for details.

    And oh yeah, the behaviour Mark described is normal. It is caused by engine torque and propwash. You've got to counter it with your controls, i.e. use your ailerons and/or rudder to keep the plane level.

    And it should be more during starts than during landings, as you don't land with full throttle.

    How much roll should i expect when landing, with full flaps, 40% throttle, 200Kph, in a Spitfire? I'm getting a fair amount of left roll.

    Just wait until you fly a Tempest and it rolls right.... tricked me out the first couple of times i took it up.

    Try setting up a Corsair in the grove just above stall speed, full flaps and hook down, and then add full throtte immediately . . . better have the rudder ready . . .

    Yeah torque is a pain to get used to but we all do. I dont who else does it but I set my rudder trim for landings, take offs, and just generally cruising. That seems to help keep the plane in check (depending on the plane).

    Every plane will react different so be mindful of what aircraft your in.
