While the Nazi powers poured loads of money and manpower into rocket research, the United States government for the most part considered Goddard's ideas of rockets outlandish. It was because of the money the Germans spent on research, not necessarily the scientists, that made to big difference. (the same was true for jet propulsion, but that's a diffent topic.)

the reason so much money and resources were put into rocket research was because rockets weren't covered by the versaille treaty so they pretty much had free reign to do what they wanted in that area.

Hmmm, methinks I have just found a way to end my TAF campaign. I'm just salivating at the possibilities.

    Me too

What maps are you using for the campaign? Need a generic or specific West Front North Germany map to do one properly.

You can shoot down a flying V1, but it takes too much damage imho. Like a flying heavy tank. Put several Mk108 shots on one yesterday and **** thing kept going lol. Finally I got it.

What comes to V2 it flies so fast that people on target area never knew what hit them, if I remember correctly it enters target area with 4x speed of sound. That means several thousands of kilometres an hour.. and blast would kill you anyway hehe.

    So, nobody wins that cake

You'll have to kill the V-1 with MG bullets. Teh cannon is useless since there isn't much area for the shrapnel to hit with.

So far I am just working on some basic stuff to get myself completely familiar with the mission builder. Its frustrating sometimes but I am slowly coming to grips with it.

Mostly I have been using one of the online summer maps to represent Ye Olde England for the "training" section of the campaign and then the Normandy 2 map for the actual plot oriented stuff. I wish the Normandy map was bigger though, I really wanted to do some of the "Noball" ops and the map size really just doesn't do them justice. I may use the Ardenns map as well for a little mid December/early January 1944/45 action.
