After downloading 1.3, I had the unpleasant experience that this was not compatible with 'Real Uboat mod', and it would not install.

Had to uninstall it Real UBoat before installing 1.3

!!When i arrived to home port, I was shocked to find no buildings at all - St.Nazarire was just an empty coast line.

Did this happen to others around here ?

AMD 3200+ system w/ 512M RAM, Radia 9600 Series w/ 4/2005 drivers, SB Live! Value

With 1.3 patch applied I have encountered the following issues:

Sky turns into triangles when on bridge. Usually in center of sky area overhead. Remains smooth when viewing in binocular or periscope view. This happens after running the sim for awhile.

UZO screen is triangles making the entire screen unusable. Always happens.

When using rudder control, clicking on 0 does not always return "Rudder Amidship" message. Even though rudder is at 0 degrees, this makes the ship do a slow rotation.

Towards end of my first patrol, the crew on-bridge on the starboard side began to have diamonds (light/dark) instead of textures. They look like porcupines. :-)

Thanks for taking sub simming to such a great level.

-T II torpeado range is still the same. - 1.8km
I see no change - even tough they said range has been corrected.

    What's wrong here ?

Compressed Air gauge in the controll room shows a different reading than that you request fromt the LI officer. (they dont correspond)
Also the area that is in red, should be GREEN!

they had 3-4 weeks and produced a ****ed up patch

either they are stupid or incompetent
    they should get fired anyway

this game is only 80-85% finished

i don't like to get ****ed..the devs are incompetent..if this game will reach a higher level..it would be produced by competent people..the game has potential to be great

ulfwulf, stfu. If you'd bother reading up on the other major forums and threads here, you'd see that the devs are aware of the issue and in process of fixing the problem.

*****ing like they just ruined your friggin' existence isn't doing anyone including yourself any good.

    Get a grip.

ulfwulf, your post reeks of the ignorance of software maintenance.

Don't condemn for something being released that didn't work 100% properly. Yes it's disappointing that the patch broke stuff and is not exactly the best PR it could get.

Condemn them if they do nothing about it!

You are one of those people that focuses on the time, without considering the multitude of other issues. Programs are exceptionally complicated, very interrelated pieces of information. The tiniest of details can cause a rippling effect into other aspects of the software. A tiny mistake made on the last day, for god knows what reasons, could cause ALL the problems with the 1.3 patch.

Like I said, don't condemn a mistake/accident. Hold it against them if they don't do anything about it!

And besides, it's not like you got "****ed" since the game is still very playable with the 1.2 patch. You are not being forced to use the buggy patch!

I work in hardware and software development. The very basics of engineering practise have not been followed in testing this patch. That much is obvious. All software/hardware is done to specification, after any change that specification is tested and re-validated. This has not be done effectively with either this game or its patches. If you the consumer are willing to accept either a sub-standard product or service, that is what they will keep giving you.

    Aye carumba!

Ulfwulf, at least, provides vicarious entertainment. All us posters constitute a spectrum, and Ulfwulf inhabits an extreme edge. Let him have his say, he does no harm and gives an insight into the more radical reaction towards disappointment or frustration in something that is not quite perfect.

I would agree that the testing phase was certainly not performed very extensively. If the bugs were not found in testing, then it seems as though something happened between the testing and the release....which is just as bad.
