I'm glad to see that you understand this economics stuff, and I see your point about misrepresentation. I think you are partially right. But as I said before, it's your choice. Don't hurry up next time.Originally posted by bubbaganoosh:
I understand supply and demand and all that (believe it or not) but this is plain and simple misrepresentation. Again, it's not the money it's how they did it that I have a problem with.
May be I was very sharp, I'm sorry for this. But it's because I think that any software exclusiveness kills video gaming. Simply I don't like situation when somebody got it all, but somebody even hasn't option to got it.
Look at the Assassn's Creed 2 DLC page, for example. These three Templar secret locations are not accessible ONLY for PC gamers. And this is really bad. I got mine, because Ubisoft send me the unlock code as a gift for my DRM problems during the first week.
Now I know that these locations are very cool. But Ubisoft sells all three of them only in few exclusive PC collector's editions of the game. Well, if we already bought DVD of this game and want all three locations we need to buy more expensive edition, we need to buy the same game again! This is annoying!
And unfortunately there are a lot of situations like that.
Big thx someone mention it . What need to be said now, Ubi tricked us greatly. We , who have limited edition , this content should be exclusive content , like it should be and like was it named, but they make it public, Then what the hell with this EXCLUSIVE content, now this is public. so we dont have to get LCE to get it it seems. Another thing that cant be forgiven. They are wise . so ****ing wise. What do you think of it guys.Sgt_Pepper2010: ohhh, thanks Ubisoft, thanks for giving away an "Exclusive" addon for free, just lovely, I won't give you any more money, just to make it clear
Well, Those who paid for the IN-DISC exclusive contents and are right now feeling offended by Ubi's gave aways have a legitimate case. But those who paid for the ordinary version (and subsequently all the contents in it) have a right to access all the IN-DISK contents they paid for too.
Both sides have their examples and analogies.
There is one difference thou. The limited edition came with far more things than the Shadow armour / Spas12 alone, and they are the OST disc, the figurine and the SCCCarabiner Torch / Flashdrive, however they are Not IN-DISK contents therefore those who paid for the ordinary version have no right to them except everything that comes within the DISK which everybody did paid for.
Can you prove, beyond all reasonable doubt that you bought the LE for the Shadow Armour alone?
Those who paid for the ordinary version have the right to access all the IN-DISK contents and those who paid for the limited edition may not opposse to it for the simple reason that prohibition of the use causes a greater damage to more people.
Im sure more people bought the ordinary version, which supersedes certain economic priorities.
Sorry fellas, being a victim of bad business is not equivalent to being a victim of fraud.
You're combining all the different edition into one.Originally posted by HanzWolfgen:

The regular collectors edition comes with the figurine, OST and the shadow armour. All the other extras are in other pre-order or store-specific packs.
What a load of horse****. Are you serious? Those who paid for the ordinary version have the right to access all the IN-DISK contents and those who paid for the limited edition may not opposse to it for the simple reason that prohibition of the use causes a greater damage to more people.
So if I buy Windows 7 Home Premium I have the right to unlock it to Ultimate edition for free just because all the files are on the disc?
Different licenses can share files. That doesnt mean you can buy the cheapest version and get the premium content for free.
Exactly.Originally posted by OFPN_Shadow:

well i bought LCE pre pack, not only for this armor and weapon. but this content shoudn't be named exclusive any more. i know and cant deny what u guys saying but isn't it a bit unfair.
You said exactly what upssets me the most. Then whats they point in doing things. They are no respectfull like they were before im afraid.OFPN_Shadow : "The irony of it all is that it took Ubisoft 5 weeks to straighten out my unlocks but just one week later the shadow armour is free for all.
