She's posted a thread on M4T: http://mission4today.com/index...wtopic&p=96165#96165
Apparently she can log in, then all she sees is the banners at the top of the screen - the rest is blank (she's using IE8).If anyone can help, contact her at M4T.
I noticed the same thing starting yesterday, and I'm using IE 7. The banners load immediately, only to have around a 30+ second wait for the page script to suddenly appear. I don't think it's something on my end, but the UBI forums possibly. I'm using Adblock. Could this have something to do with it? It's annoying when I'm used to having the forum pages instantly load without a wait.
Hey, it's like being on a dialup again without having to listen to the noisy modem.![]()
You could have something there, using adblock too, but we shoudn't be made to suffer those ads lol.Originally posted by Messaschnitzel:

No kidding! I wonder if since the change to having the ads on the page, that it now has the characteristics of the slow loading pages where like it sometimes is when you click on a link that will switch to a different page on a website. To wit: I can go to a website where if I click on a link to get redirected to another page on the site, or another site entirely, there will be an approx 10 second hang time before I get the page to begin loading. OTOH, I can open the same link using a separate window and immediately open and load the page without any hang time. (though doing this here on the forum still has the same slow wait) Could this be tracking cookies or something similar where a profile can be assembled from what the user tends to look at? (Ooh. I'm starting to sound like raaaid with the conspiracy theories...Originally posted by Dance:

Maybe the IT gurus here on the board can comment on this apparent change to the forum here?
Well she has IE8...that is weird that it's not working. This is happening to me on my work computer within the last couple of days, I assumed it was because I have some crappy old IE program like IE6 or something. It's no doubt because of the cheesy new banner ads.
Ubi does run this site like it was 1998 or something.
