Which games?Anyhow there is a little section called "minimum requirements"and most games run normally in Win 7.The only thing to do is optimize your game's graphics!

id imagine that would run it fine. Look into getting a cooling pad to avoid overheating, a good one will only run 30 bucks and will help keep your computer from frying.

hey guys thanks for the replies
@Chris: sorry i didnt mention it, im talking about new games from last year like AC2, NFS shift,POPFS and GTA IV.. and to future ones like AC:B and so on.. I am asking this question because I know that 32bit apps dont run on 64bit OS systems.

@whistle: thanks for the tip I'll be living in the dorm rooms at the university and there is no air conditioning there so i guess that could happen xD

I will just say, that laptop 'versions' of graphics card's can sometimes be a little lower in terms of performance, compared to the desktop version.

This can be due to many reasons.

It's also worth checking the spec needed for games, since many also state that 'laptop versions of cards are not supported'

One other point to consider, you say you'll be living in the University dorm, if you're using the connection there, some University networks can be a problem, as the network admins often block ports that some games use.

About mobile version Video cards: oh damn.. really? :S ok I didn't know that..
Im getting the DELL XPS 720QM cuz I heard the XPS series are good for gaming.

do you think it could last 4 years of gaming? before newer games that cant run on it will be released?.. or will it be sooner?

Im not worried about the connection in the dorms, I already have a solution for that.
