@Dave I think its too early too say if its unoptimized just because it requires 512mb vram. It depends what the lowest graphic settings are. It may be very optimized but you cant run it with horribly bad graphics. But that remains to be seen. Still people can get a gpu that can run this game and pretty much any other for like $50 these days.

Edit: I believe Mafia 2 also requires 512 vram btw. Still most games run on 256 but they cant continue to do so forever.

I agree it's too early to tell. I'm not saying it's unoptimized just yet (it's just a thought, an idea). I actually think I'll be able to run it just fine. I'm just saying that (regardless of how much a 512 card costs or what year we're in) I've yet to see any other developer require that kind of VRAM for a strategy game (and I say that more as a fact, not an opinion).

Mainly I just wanted to refute the notions of Starcraft requiring 1gb of VRAM to look good or of any Heroes fan confusing Heroes VI with FarmVille.

P.S. I think I've sufficiently expressed my opinion here, and as such I won't be commenting further. See you all in other, more worthwhile threads.

Just to clarify your inquiries, the VRAM from a GFX card is just needed to get bigger resolutions and better textures. The graphic engine they are using for MM:H6 isn't very new, all the opposite, it has some years behind it.

If you are planning to play the game in 800x600 (in case that small resolution is even supported by this new game) you won't be needing much vram xD

    Thanks a lot!

tommy, if you say us what GFX card you have and how many RAM do your computer own, we will be able to tell you if your comp will or will not run the game.

Any card in the last 2 generation of gpus have atleast 512mb of vram, and even the generation before that had very few cards with less(almost nonexistent). I dont see how that is too much to ask for. Still I think it might not require 512ram if your run on really low resolution, like 800x600 is not a reasonable resolution these days and the minimum specs probably takes a reasonable resolution into account.

It looks like I should be all set to run it on my laptop with the exception of the video card, not sure if it meets the requirements it's a Nvidia GeForce 310M. From what i can tell it looks like it should meet the requirements but if there is someone out there that is more familiar with video cards i would appreciate any feedback/confirmation. Thanks
