today i put contacts after a long time and i discover i can do this after having trained seeing double:

i can see at will either focused or unfocused at will

i think im training this farther to see if i can take full councious control of the muscles of my eye lens and heal my miopia

    Yes.

I just let my eyes relax and everything is pretty much out of focus.

dont you think this could be a starter into counciously controlling the eye lens muscles that theoretically are uncounciously controlled?

kind of like the yogis with the heart beat rate

    We all can.
Staring is unfocus at will and also staring can be unconscious.
    Like daydreaming.
Remember those days at school or while doing your homework.

    Little test.

Fix your eyes but unfocus at will.
If you succeed you will see emerging something in 3D.
    What is it?

Correction: Most people can. Is it those with a astigmatism that can not see these?

Some monks can allegedly control their heart rate through meditation and mental conditioning. So I suppose you could in theory do the same with eye muscles... although I suppose there could be a structural reason for not being able to.

Frankly my conscious mind has enough to deal with that I'm quite happy to leave my unconscious and autonomic functions alone

I have horrible astigmatism (and eyes) and I can see the heart. Man that looks crazy.

    Yep, it's a heart.
When someone lend me his book with these kind of Magic 3D images it took a while to train the eyes to fix and unfocus. But it's quite amazing to see a 3D object emerge from a 2D image. It even looks like to turn when you move your head a bit.
But after viewing several of these pictures I get a headache.

Another one. What's the 3D object hidden in this image?
