Probably not:
Standard Edition: PC game + DLCs
White Edition: Standard + one templar lair map.
Black Edition: Standard + all three lair maps
That's as I understand it. I don't really care about any of the extras except the lair maps, but it would be nice if we could either get the Black edition on disc, or have some way to upgrade the standard version to Black once you have the disc. I don't want to have to download the entire game (I like a physical disc i can install anytime) to get these extras (them I don't mind doing through a link from the main game)...
Wahey, new page!!!
I, on the other hand wanted to buy the Black Edition for the figurine, the book, and the box... Would be nice if we could finally get an answer...Originally posted by Locopells:

Standard, means the standard edition which is the game + DLCs.Originally posted by Rodigor:
You forgot to say that the white and black editions got as well the DLC's, Locopells
Too bad about the book and box, though I hear the book isn't properly proof read, with a lot of typos...Originally posted by Atkamon:

I'm not sure I'll be able to boycott the game - Hell, I'm one of those who just whorshipped the first AC! I played it for hours and hours, longing for the sequel, longing for more information about subject 16Originally posted by Danvish:
You know what I really hate about the marketing sector and the managment of Ubisoft? They know perfectly how much PC players enjoy their titles. They know that many gamers will still buy ACII on PC, no matter what they'll throw at us. So basicly, They're taking advantage on their excellent developing teams that do extraodinary work, to throw whatever they want on us gamers. Sigh, I wish all the developing teams of Ubisoft would move to Velvet. Then we would enjoy good games.
UBISOFT'S DEVELOPING TEAMS! HEAR ME! MOVE TO VELVET! MAKE GAMES FOR US PC PLAYERS! IT IS YOUR DESTINY!I've been able to stay mostly spoiler-free.
For the moment![]()
Anyhow, Ubisoft got me trapped in their web. But that won't stop me from complaining though.
UBISOFT SHALL PAY! Really, by the looks of it they've just wasted money from developing the DRM. Also, a lot of potential customers with stronger willpower than me will NOT hand them 60$ in order to rent the game.
Bah, let it be known that us protesters have an official song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ltps17if3t8
Let us hope that Ubi will reconsider their actions, and once again bring honour to the PC gaming industry
But it won't happen.
Greedy sons of butchers...
Just a little advice to Ubisoft managment:
When you'll realize that the sellings on PC are much lower compared to other consoles, please don't blame the pirates like you did with the first game.
Here's a list of things you can complain:
A) PC players had to wait for 4 months for the game.
B) The game, which came 4 months after his console brothers, costs $60.
C) You treated us PC gamers like 2nd hand gamers. (Which includes delaying the announcment about when the game comes out, still not clarifying the questions about Asia and Israel, and still not saying anything about the Black Edition being digital).
D) You introduced a new safety system that litteraly kills the single-player campaign. (it also kills the 2nd hand market).
If I forgot something people, please add.
P.S.
I once again give you credit Ubi, for at least including the DLC in the package. Still, that's only a very small step on the way to reconcilation with us PC gamers.
^Or to sum it all up - It's your marketing that mainly kills your sales, not us.
...Uh, I mean pirates.
Most who download games wouldn't purchase them anyway if there were no way to obtain them for free - Same with music and movies.
Like the first AC game: Sure, a lot of copies were downloaded. However, how many of those would actually have been bought if, as I've said, they hadn't been available for download?
