I have completed my first week! The game has worked awesome for me. I paid for a personal trainer for several months and I would be so sore for the rest of the week I could barely move. With Your Shape, I'm still sore the next day in a good way, I definitely get muscle fatigue and shake when I'm working out. Feels great!

Who else out there is having a great time with this?

I want to be motivated by this discussion board, I have enough negativity in the rest of my life. Let's discuss the benefits, and help with technical issues, and motivate each other!

I agree with your need to hear positive re-enforcement. I enjoy the workouts. I have done 8 and the warm up is similar each time, but I don't mind that. At least I know how to do it and score a high percentage. Some exercises, like the one-arm side plank, I had a lot of trouble with and counldn't do it properly It has not shown up again. Easier types of planks are being given to me. I like to be challenged, but not so much that I get discouraged. I have done a lot of exercise, with trainers (my son is a trainer), and he is impressed with the workouts so far.

I agree! The soreness feels great, everyday I have been sore in areas I didnt even think I had worked!

Even thoug the camera may not see my moves totally and the critiquing may get annoying when I know I am doing it right, I just ignore it because I know I am doing it right! I have done four workouts and I am very happy-they were a good mix of cardio and workouts for the target area I chose. I am definetly going to keep up with this game.

I think Your Shape is OK. I have done about 5 or 6 days of workout. I'm not giving up on it yet. I think I'm still learning it, and have to find ways to trick the system. I did a 45 minute workout today, and it was 75% aerobics, which I don't want, but now I know to only go 30 minutes. Next session I will click on "strength" which I hope will do more with weights. Has anyone else had success with doing more strength training?

I like it so far. It is makes me sweat, I was sore after my first workout and I feel like I have had a good workout when I am done. I am out of shape so I hope it helps me get in better shape. I was running during the summer and now it is too cold for me. So I hope I keep Your Shape up until it gets warm again. I also hope that later in the year customers can purchase more workouts that address some of the concerns about the first game.

Your Shape was a Christmas gift and I love it! I've done 4 "workouts" ha! I say that b/c 3 were only 15 mins but today I did a half hour. I have to get use to getting up early again.

I'm interested to learn more about this game. I choose a work out with weights when I selected my chest to work on and got a work out with weights. My routines have been different everyday and I only had one cardio day. I'm looking forward to seeing my progression.

I use to get up and do Denise Austin's workouts before they took her off the air and this reminds me of that.

It is annoying when they say I'm doing something wrong but I think it has something to do with my original scan and the area I work out in. I'm looking forward to workout 9 when I get a rescan.

I am also curious if you can eliminate one of the exercises to that it doesn't come up in the routine. For me I can't do pushups and wish I can take that out of the 400 they offer. I also can't do downward dog without getting sick and know these are personnal preferences but would recommend a customize workout option to delete possible exercises from showing up.

I'm looking forward to trying one of the challenges and unlocking extra challenge.

    Thanks for starting this post!

I like Your Shape and like you I'm tired of hearing people whine about it. Yeah it has a few shortcomings but it's the first of its kind of workout game, so I don't understand why people expect it to be perfect.

On that note, I like the fact that I can have a virtual personal trainer and for the most part she does do a good job of motivating me and telling me when I'm doing something wrong.

I'm wondering however, do any of you know how or when you unlock different moves. I seem to be getting similar moves everytime I workout and although I can get better at them, I would like some variety.

Nothing in the way of a video "game" is going to be the same as a personal trainer. I didn't have high expectations of the game, but the fact I don't have to hold the controller is awesome!

When I had a personal trainer, I was doing 80-100 squats as a warm up every session. At least this switches it up with plies and arm exercises.

I get a least one new exercise every time. I mostly choose strength and rotate body parts and do 30 minutes. I had something yesterday that was a "Frog leap" I did it wrong the whole time, but just kept moving<G> Today will be my 12th workout

So nice to see some positive feedback! I have completed 7 workouts now and have lost 4 lbs ( of course I have also modified my diet to enhance weight loss by eating more sensibly) I don't expect to lose 4 lbs every 10 days. My husband says he noticed that my arms are looking more toned too! It has it's downfalls, as all new programs do, but overall I think that it is very unique in the way that it tests your ability and then modifies the next workout based on your performance. It helps you build up to the point that you will be able to perform the exercises that are difficult now. I noticed also that some exercises can be modified, like the double heel jack; you don't have to jump if it sacrifices your form. Just doing it low impact is acceptable until you can work up to it. I have heard a lot of ranting that it is mostly aerobic based. Well, that's how you lose weight, with aerobic activity. Incorporating weights is advantageous as it increases tone and resting calorie burn, but aerobics is the only way to lose the fat we all desire to rid ourselves of. I would recommend this workout to anyone who really wants to lose weight and is motivated to put forth the effort.
