    Hello all

    I think I have learnt the basics of complex engine management, nevertheless, each plane differs form others.

    (If we only take a look at prop pitch, most planes achieve max speed with 100, while Bf109 does not (you fry engine if you do it, so it's best to leave it on AUTO), and also on Fw190D9_45 this can happen, but not so quickly, but you can gain some extra speed on 100% compared to auto.)

    There is a lot of planes that use superchargers, which have to be changed on different altitudes, on some planes mixture has to be changed at certain altitudes, planes with no auto pitch need constant pitch corrections (especially in dive...)

    So, is there a document, where it would be listed for every flyable plane, how to deal with it's engine? (especially and firstly, which aircraft have supercharger and which don't, which have auto pitch and which don't, which need mixture correction and which don't, and at what alt to shift supercharger, set mixture, what pitch to climb, what to level flight, what to combat, .... etc etc)

    I don't thing there is a step-by-step for every plane but airwarfare has an excellent guide to complex engine management.

    I don't fly Luft often but when I do fly planes like the 109 series, I just keep an eye on the RPM's. Try not to exceed the redline. I generally set my prop pitch control to 50% then switch AUTO off and adjust prop pitch from there.

    Beebop is right. There is AFAIK no special "PF Engine Management README".
    You have to collect the info from bunch of READMEs and internet sites.

    Start at airwarfare.com. They have some outstanding stuff there.

    One good place for this information on certain aircraft is Zeno's. There are actual trainging films there on quite a few aircraft, though they are all allied types.

    Thanks for the endorsement guys, a comprehensive guide to CEM on ALL aircraft is possible, it will take help from the community to write it!
