    Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone still has Grille Chompa's I-16 landing gear script saved somewhere? The website has been taken down, and it's not available for download anymore. Tried contacting him too, but no sign of life.

    Thanks,

Have no idea of who Chompa is, and in case it takes someone who does a while to see this, perhaps you could tell us what control(s) you're using.

As for myself, I'm using the CH HOTAS gear, and for the manual gear I've taken the simple expedient of making a multiple-keypress macro which reduces the number of button presses required. I'm tempted to make the string of characters even longer, so as to require at most a couple of button presses.

I should add that my macro sends keypresses at some default rate. In other words, I haven't gotten fancy and introduced a controlled timing technique. Needless to say, the sent key presses go into the keyboard buffer quite rapidly, and the game simply accepts them and in its own good time raises/lowers the gear.

I gaher that at least one other player out there has made a macro which is timed so that the gear go up and down in step with the animated gear crank in the cockpit. I'm happy enough to just get my feet up/down in the shortest possible time.

BP, I will look for it and post here tomorrow - it's just too late to kick up the file server and I'm off to bed

Lurch, I'm using a stick without that possibility, unfortunately. I'll probably get something better in a while, but for now I'm quite happy with what I have.

Brando, thank you ever so much!
