    My son has thrown in the towel on 'archive', and has resorted to the cheats...hehehe

    My only question is...The console drops down (green screen) and he enters the appropriate code...but it says, 'command not recognized' or something like that...

    What's the trick to this proceedure...?

    I'm aware of all the cheat command entries...

    Do you put 'underscore' between the appropriate words...?

    generally you put underscore "_" between the codes yeah..

    but you should try enabling DEVMODE, it's alot easier.

    make a shortcut to farcry on your desktop (or wherever) go into properties and find the TARGET box... it will show your farcry.exe location...
    ie.
    "c:\Program Files\ubisoft\crytek\farcry\Bin32\FarCry.exe"

    put a space and -devmode

    .....farcry\Bin32\FarCry.exe" -devmode

    click ok... now launch farcry using that shortcut and devmode will be activated.

    in game on your keyboard (no need for console) press:

    backspace = godmode
    O = all weapons
    P = all ammo ( may have mixed them up

    f1 = 3rd person (even not in a vehicle
    f2 = skip spawn point
    f3 = fly mode
    f4 = no clip (thru terrain)

    that SHOULD work out for you.. godmode has been abit shakey for me.

    hope this works for you, im tired here and may have missed something out :S.

    Thanks for the reply...

    Gee...sometimes, it's like trying to pull teeth to get an answer out of people on this site...

    Sure, they'll answer some other lame threads like...'what's your favorite weapon to use'...but...oh well, anyway, it's just good to get an answer...thanks...

    Well...I don't know if cheating rocks, because the method you explained doesn't work...

    It's the fact that he has played the savespot over and over, and just got frustrated...so wanted to pass the point, instead of giving up on the game.

    I might just let him play from my gamesave, because I've already passed that point...and the only difference is some of the weapons...oh, well...

    Thanks everyone...

    I have notified the Web Master, ggoi.. that your Link for finding Cheats goes to the Far Cry Map Community Web SWite, which is fine, HOWEVER.. One the Top Posts of that Page titled "Find All Ur Cheats Sites" goes to http://www.cheatoogle.com/... with Search Results.. and Gives "24hrGamers.com" a spot on a very short list as a Link to cheats.
    When I checked this Sites, my AVG Pro immediately detected and quarantined a Trojan Horse attempting to hit my System.
    I didn't try any of the other 4 or so Links at Cheatoogle, so I don't know how they are... but the Trojan at 24hrGamers is a hijacker type that leads to a site or Port..and which can instantly infect your PC with something realllly bad.
    If you doubt this message and you have AVG or another very good Anti-Virus, then check the 24hrGamers.com Link at Cheatoogle for yourself:
    http://www.cheatoogle.com/search.php?searchword=Far+Cry...orm=PC&Submit=Sear ch

    Click on the 24hrGamers Link listed for PC, Far Cry Cheats.

    ggoi...the name is Earlywine, not Earlycry..pahdner
    (It's not a Nick... its my last name and my familial name which goes back a very,very long ways)
    I use Dev Mode because I mod... but yeah, I don't use cheats as a rule when just gaming.
    I got a question about Cheats/Walkthrus from a friend who ..believe it or not.. is just discovering PC Gaming is FUN at age 47.
    And he is getting tired of his kids laying the smack down on him in head to head...and constantly teasing him about getting waxed every 5 feet on "Easy" settings in SP.. heh heh.
    When his 10-year old kicked the snot outta him in Halo...and looked real bored while doing it.. he decided he'd better get some help so he could learn his way around games in a hurry.
    All he'd played is some Halo Combat Evolved. His teenage sons talked him into trying Far Cry and he just loves the game...so he bought his own copy for his PC... but.. well, you can guess the learning curve for someone with about 20 hours of Halo-on-Easy gaming under his belt. So, he thought he'd speed up the learning process some.
    He wanted to know what Cheats were..but is mainly wanting to see walkthrus and, I suspect, bookmark some of those site to have handy for the next games. He mentioned that his kids have some game named "Doom III" that they want him to try... and wanted to know if it was any easier to play... heh heh..

    Anyway.. as I said above.. I was just giving a heads up. Imagine how many not-so-savvy Users hits sites like that and wind up infecting not only themselves.. but everyone else they contact...

    What do you consider the dutch-peacekeeper's command and adding vehicles to the maps? Vehicles and quicksaves both shorten those long walks . . .

    The D.P.C. is inherent(=build-in) to the game:
    when windows restores the image of the running FarCry,somehow the weapons-links break.
    That's very neat,if Ur about to be killed in an exploring mission
    After reloading U can try climbs at ease,or analyse the situation.Besides:it's FUN!
    About the jeeps I put in the BH4-level of some
    maps,after I have deleted the killing-lines,
    Ur right:that's cheating!
    I did it on Swamp,where U can't use any of the in-map jeeps,and it gave me a huge variety of
    playing the different camps,before picking up
    Val to get the cards neccesairy to finish the level:hated it she didn't wonna enter MY JEEP!
    Even when I allowed her to drive,by taking the gun-position!
    On most other maps,(like Dam and Catacombs)I can drive the in-map buggy to the BH4 level:

    http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/452106891/...771095643#2771095643

    though: in Dam it's nice FUN to try the Goi-ride with a jeep!
    My main goal is to have everything I post here:

    http://www.farcry-maps.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=11&si...2a1a29285581c1722d84

    to be able being done/copied on/in the BOX-version of FarCry
